On-Street Parking: is the issue most concerning residents at present. Parking of vehicles in Woodlands Way, mainly from nearby mobile home sites it seems, has increased since the road accident nearly in Boxhill Road. Residents are pressing for yellow-line parking restrictions. The Committee has discussed the matter with Roof of the World and Hillcrest management who have said there is no shortage of parking space for cars on their sites. There are site licence conditions to consider but drivers of small non-signwritten vans are asked to speak to the management at their site. Unfortunately, this does not apply to people temporarily renting homes at Roof of the World who are not allowed on-site parking. Untaxed vehicles are not allowed on site either. Neither, incidentally, are they allowed to park on the roadway where any untaxed vehicles will be reported to the authorities.

Wanted! Volunteers: Thanks to those who have offered a few hours of their time to help the Jubilee Celebrations and the Fair. More help is needed now! If you are not sure whether you can help or not, why not call Daphne to talk about it? (01737 843644).

Friends of Box Hill: BHCN'S representative was not considered for inclusion in the Committee since applications had to be submitted two weeks in advance of their AGM. BHNC was unaware of this fact when, 12 days before the AGM on 26 January, the decision was made to apply. Chair of FoBH has kindly written to welcome our representative as a visitor at all, otherwise private, meetings.

Dial-a-bus is coming to our Village!: MOLE Valley District Council has announced a new extension to its popular Dial-a-Bus service. For a three-month trial period, starting on 1st May, a new service will be available. Everyone living in a rural ward of Mole Valley who has a mobility problem or who is over 60 years of age is eligible to take advantage of this special offer: three months free membership to Dial-a-Ride and the opportunity to use the unique Dial-a-Bus service, which will offer shopping trips to Horsham, Crawley, Cranleigh, Redhill, Horley, Leatherhead and Dorking. Trips out of Mole Valley cost £4 return; trips within Mole Valley cost £3 return. For a timetable and further information on how to join, please telephone Mole Valley District Council on 01372 372823 or email: communityservices@wesleyhouse.fsbusiness.co.uk
